About the University of Cambridge

The University of Cambridge is among the oldest and most recognised universities in the world. The university consists of 31 colleges which are known for outstanding education, especially in the field of physics, mathematics, biology, arts and humanities. 

The University is known for the impressive number of Nobel laureates – 118. This is more than any other university in the UK. Some of the most notable alumni include Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin and Stephen Hawking. 

The University of Cambridge is home to numerous museums, over 100 libraries, and even a botanical garden.

All colleges are located in the medieval city of Cambridge which is known for its gothic architecture and parks.
