Studying in the UK might be different from studying in other countries, so we make sure that you are well prepared to achieve your best.

Extra academic support

We offer extra sessions for students who need them and staff are always happy to help you. The aim of our additional learning support is to raise your level of independence, to help you enjoy your time at CATS and to succeed academically. Extra English classes are held on Saturday mornings as well as sessions during the week to help support you.

Excellent teaching staff

We aim to provide an amazing education, so we grade our teachers every year and monitor their lessons to ensure that they are first-grade. Many of our teachers are qualified to a Doctorate level and are very experienced with international students. We also provide our teachers with the latest technology so that you can have engaging and interactive lessons.

High-performing students

Students who have strong English and academic ability are given a full range of extra activities and options. In lessons you may be asked to lead sessions in class, have additional tasks, and there is an extensive range of extra options available including online university courses and Leadership Awards.

Achieving success

Our teaching staff are committed to getting the best out of you. You will regularly be given targets from your teachers and will be encouraged to read around your subject from our range of books and magazines at the CATS library. Your teachers will continuously update you on what is needed to improve your work, while your Personal Tutors will ensure you understand everything and provide extra help if needed.

Years of expertise

CATS Canterbury was the first school in the UK to offer the University Foundation Programme, meaning you can feel confident that you are being taught by the most experienced staff who know what universities are looking for.

All students completing their course at CATS Canterbury are invited to attend our Graduation Ceremony along with their closest family members – there is one ceremony in June and one in August. The ceremony is a wonderful way to say farewell and have a formal end to the year.
