Our Pledge – protecting our school communities
Recently, as part of the launch of the #WeCare campaign, we shared “Our Pledge” detailing the measures we will take to protect and care for our school communities in the fight against COVID-19. We are currently working hard to put our Pledge into practice to welcome our students. We are investing in new technology, new equipment and our people, specifically:
- Boosting our on-campus medical provision
- Installing infrared temperature testing technology in every campus
- Creating “Care Kits” for every student, which include facemasks (a two-week supply), hand sanitizer gel and disinfectant wipes
- Adapting our campuses to include:
- zoned areas to manage arrivals and daily life at a social distance
- clear signage to control one-way movement around the campuses
- smaller class sizes
- Training every member of staff on new policies and procedures to care for students and one another
Planning for a safe January Our Pledge
Study Options
Preparation for advanced study
5-term GCSE
2-term Pre-programme
The GCSE and Pre-programme will give you the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in a university preparation course of your choice – A Level, International Baccalaureate Diploma or University Foundation Programme.
Intensive/fast-track options
2-term UFP
5-term A Level
Our intensive and fast-track courses are designed for ambitious, hardworking and academically capable international students who will enjoy the challenge of fast-paced learning. Teaching has been condensed with specialist academic subject knowledge prioritised over English Language, so you should be fairly proficient in speaking and writing in English already. These courses are a fantastic opportunity to speed up your educational journey, but you must be prepared to put in the extra study time to get great results.
Standard options
3-term UFP
6-term A Level
There’s nothing ‘standard’ about our traditional UFP and A Level programmes. Designed to maximise your potential and provide a solid preparation for higher education in the UK, the additional time to study and learn English makes a significant difference to your final grade. Our 3-term UFP and 6-term A Level programmes are structured to run over the summer. In January 2021, you will have a unique opportunity to start the traditional university preparation courses which are usually only offered in September.
Courses starting January 2021
We plan to have face-to-face teaching fully restored across all Colleges by January 2021. Please check the website regularly for updates.
