Twins receive top university offers to study Medicine
15 May 2019
Rodrigo and Eduardo, twins from Brazil, decided they wanted to study at an international school and chose the IB programme at CATS Canterbury.
They have so far received three university offers each to study Medicine together at a UK university. Rodrigo added the reason that they both have chosen to study Medicine is:
“… partly due to our life experience and also the versatility of the medical profession.”
Eduardo went on to say:
“When you’re a doctor, you’re not only a doctor, but also a teacher and a leader and you get to use skills such as teamwork.”
Outside of their studies, the twins took advantage of a range of opportunities including the Medics Club where they were given guidance on preparing for, and applying to study, Medicine in the UK.
Work experience plays an important role in any aspiring medics’ university application. The twins volunteered at the Brain Injury Unit at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital and also helped out at a Cancer Research charity shop in the city.
