Prepare for a degree in Business at the only school in Europe with a Bloomberg Business Lab
University preparation
10 April 2019
In 2016, the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) received just over 347,000* applications for Business and Admin studies, which equated to just under 12% of total applications in that year. After Medicine (and subjects closely aligned with this), Business and Administration studies is the most applied for subject.
So far this year, around 40% of university offers to CATS students are for Business or a related subject such as Accounting and Finance, Economics or Marketing. At the end of March 2019, 18 of the 24 Russell Group universities made offers to CATS students for business-related courses such as: Accounting and Finance (LSE), Economics (UCL), International Business (Edinburgh) and Business and Management (Durham).
CATS Colleges has recently invested £200,000 in a Bloomberg Business Lab at its London campus to help its students prepare for a career in business and give them a competitive advantage.
The first school in Europe with a Lab of this kind, it comprises 14 Bloomberg Terminals which students use to experience the real world of business and finance. Through the terminals, students can access the same information as leading decision makers in business, finance and government.
Talking about the Lab, Mario Di Clemente, CATS London Principal says:
“All students at the College have access to the Lab; they can join the Bloomberg Market Concepts Club to learn how to use a Bloomberg Terminal and take a 10-hour self-paced e-learning module to get Bloomberg certified – which is a desirable certificated programme for those considering a career in business. In addition, students choosing the subjects of Business, Accounting or Economics take classes in the Lab.”
