Continuing success for CATS UFP students

7 September 2020

Launched in March 2020, our online testing, accessible from anywhere in the world, enabled CATS University Foundation Programme (UFP) students to undertake their assessments. Despite being in the midst of a pandemic, they continued our track record of results success with a 95% pass rate overall and nine in 10 students receiving at least one A grade or more.

  • 62% got A*, A, or B grades in Psychology
  • 52% got A* or A grades in Accounting
  • 50% got A* or A grades in Geography
  • 44% got A* or A grades in Economics
  • 41% got A* or A grades in Media Studies

95%

Director of CATS UFP Jonathan Hawkins is delighted that so many students have achieved outstanding results and been able to make their dreams of attending a top UK university come true:

"Putting all assessments for CATS UFP online involved our chief examiners working rigorously with our external examiners and university partners to ensure that high standards were maintained. The results bear witness to the high quality of pastoral care offered by CATS that meant that, even when dispersed, students remained motivated and able to learn and take assessments. These excellent results are well-deserved, and I know that our talented class of 2020 will go on to excel in their university studies and beyond. I wish them every success for the future."
