11 July 2018
Congratulations to all CATS College Canterbury International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma students who passed with flying colours!
Talking about the outstanding results, Dr Sarah Lockyer, Principal, CATS College Canterbury said:
“The pupils have worked incredibly hard to achieve this result and their efforts have been rewarded with offers from top universities, including King’s College, London.
“This year’s top scoring student is from Russia. She is currently assessing her university options, which includes an offer from the University of Bristol to study Anthropology or moving into Higher Education in British Colombia, Canada.”
Last year’s top scoring IB student, Wylan, achieved 43 points in the IB Diploma, placing him in the top 1% of students in the world. He’s now studying Biotechnology at Imperial College London. Wylan says:
“CATS College encouraged active learning - to work things out and understand them instead. That prepares you well because that’s exactly what we are doing right now at university.”
