University Foundation Course Overview

In 1985 CATS College revolutionised private education by launching the UK's first Foundation Programme.  This programme, designed specifically for international students, offers a one-year route for students looking to progress onto university.  With national and international recognition it provides progression opportunities to almost all UK university degree programmes.

Ideal for:

Motivated students looking for a supported and focused bridge programme from international high school, fast-tracking them to a UK university.  You will receive a good grounding in your chosen subjects, as well as learning the research methods and study skills needed at university.

Entry Requirements:

Course Length 3 terms 3 terms 3 terms 2 terms
Start date September September, January September January
English Level IELTS 4.5+#
Age 17+
Qualifications A good secondary or high school level of education

* Fast-track programme, delivered over two terms (intensive course delivery - 35 hours per week)
# January start IELTS 5.0+ is required

Key Features:

One year of full-time study
25 hours per week (35 hours on Fast-track option)
Three subjects are usually studied plus English language
Progression to university on successful completion of the programme Assessment takes place via coursework, externally moderated examinations and IELTS.
Extended option available for students with a lower English language level.
